Call for Artists : Bear Cottage Children’s Art Program 2010

Artists of all media are wanted to help develop an art program and run workshops for children at Bear Cottage in Manly, Sydney. If you can spare a couple of hours for one day a year, we would LOVE to hear from you!

Bear Cottage is the first children's hospice in NSW, Australia. It is a place where children with terminal illnesses and their families can stay from time to time and receive rest and medical care in a home-like environment.
In addition to providing respite and end of life care, Bear Cottage runs a number of other programs aimed at supporting the entire family.

Artist volunteers are sought to help run creative workshops with the children and siblings throughout 2010. Workshops can include painting, music, dance, singing, clay sculpture, puppetry, photography, creative writing etc...

It is only a couple of hours for one day a year. Can you volunteer your services for their art program? Can you spend and share your time with the children and their families at Bear Cottage? They have many materials and paints & paper in the storeroom.
